Holiday happenings in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS — The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Light Up the Night is Saturday. The holiday weekend fun starts on Friday with a singalong.

On Friday, the Town Hall’s first ever Christmas Sing Along with caroling, entertainment and light refreshments will be held from 7-8 p.m.

Saturday’s events start at the Old Fire Hall, which will be open from 3-6 p.m. with cookies, crafts and hot cocoa bar. From 5-8 p.m. there will be entertainment, children’s activities, dining and shopping downtown. The parade steps off at 6 p.m.

BG Revolving Loan Fund Committee meets

The Bowling Green Revolving Loan Fund Committee will meet on Wednesday at 2 p.m., in the third floor conference room at the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss loan application(s) and other business for the business revolving loan fund.
