Way library’s Reel Talk continues film series with ‘The Search’

PERRYSBURG — Way Library’s classic film series, Reel Talk, continues the 2022 season with “The Search” on Thursday at 2 p.m. “The Search” stars an unknown Montgomery Clift in his 1948 screen debut.

In post-World War II Germany, a small boy who survived Auschwitz wanders alone, mute and terrified. He befriends a big-hearted GI while his mother searches desperately for him. Directed by Fred Zinnemann, the film was shot similarly to a documentary in the bombed-out city of Nuremberg.

This event will be in the lower-level meeting rooms. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
