Judith “Judy” M. Hansen, 84, of Bowling Green passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Judy was born on February 3, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Raymond and Arline (Froebel) Ploetz. She married Robert Hansen on August 22, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and he survives in Bowling Green. Also surviving are her children: Barbara Hansen of Lakewood, Ohio and Daniel (Lisa) Hansen of Charlotte, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Lucy and Molly and her sister: Dawn Geschke and her brother: William Ploetz.

Judy attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Carroll College of Waukesha. Judy was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green and was a Christian Educator extraordinary. She was the Administrative Director of the Upward Way Puppet team at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green and was an Ordained Elder, chaired Christian Education Committee, Worship Committee, nominating committee and executive committee. She taught confirmation classes, Sunday school classes and served on the Pastor nominating committee, Commissioner to the Maumee Valley Presbyterian, Worship Planning Ministry and Learning Ministry team. Judy also did a lot of community outreach and volunteer service. She volunteered at Martha’s Kitchen, Wood County Genealogical Society, Wood County Republican Party, Girl Scout Leader and Merit Badge Counselor of the Boy Scouts of USA.

Visitation for Judy will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Judy’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the St Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 S. College Dr., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, Pastor Rob Spicer, officiating. Additional visitation will begin at 10:00 AM

Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s honor to the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
