The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Foundation and ACT BG is asking the community to support 2022 Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Following in suit to the national movement, BGCC will provide a platform for some local non-profit organizations as well as the BGCC Foundation to talk about their missions and create an awareness of the role they fill in the community.

This is the fourth year that the BGCCF will partner with Clint Corpe, radio personality for “The Morning Show” from 6-9 a.m. on WBGU 88.10 FM to give a voice to the foundation and seven other organizations.

Confirmed guests for the show will be Kathy Mull – the Cocoon, Dani Beamer – Work Leads to Independence, Rachael London – Christmas Dreams, Crissy Walton — Wood County Hospital Foundation, Mark Ohashi — Habitat for Humanity, Ryan Davis – ACT BG and Tony Vetter – Downtown S.I.D. Foundation. Additional guests will include Gary Dible – Biggby Coffee, Mark Cassin – State Bank and BGCCF President Darlene Petkwitz.

Biggby Coffee will host the radio remote at 215 E. Wooster St. Owner Gary Dible has been a supporter of this event from the beginning. He donates 50% of the entire days sales to the BGCCF. He includes the sale of all menu items and merchandise. This donation helps the BGCCF meet their financial goals for the Annual Community Holiday Parade and the BG Boom Fireworks.

Petkwitz will match every dollar donated to the Foundation on Giving Tuesday up to $1,000.

Beginning at 4 p.m. additional Giving Tuesday events will continue at the Four Corners Center, 217 S. Church St., with the ACT BG Annual Wreath Silent Auction and State Bank Gives Truck.

The State Bank Gives Truck will be accepting donations for Sue Shank sugar cookies to benefit the BGCC Foundation Community Events. State Bank also matches these donations. The Gives Truck will open at 4 p.m. and close at 7 p.m. or when the cookies are all gone.

Wander inside the Four Corners Center to check out the ACT BG Annual Holiday Wreath Silent Auction.

ACT BG will have a large selection of holiday wreaths on display that silent auction bidders can try to win. Enjoy a very social atmosphere with food and adult beverages and the holiday music of Tim Concannon. All proceeds of this auction will be used as a part of the Christmas Elves Program helping the non-profit organizations of Brown Bag Food Project, the Cocoon and Thayer Family Dealerships Christmas wishes program. Those wishing to drop off any additional donations of new toys, books, hats mittens, games and non-perishable food items can do that at this event. Wreath Auction ends at 6:30 p.m.
