Milton L. Aring, age 94, passed away on November 10, 2022.

He was born on July 29, 1928 to the late Edward and Marie (Brown) Aring at the family farm in the home that he lived in his entire life. He married Celia (Belleville) Aring on August 10, 1963 and she survives him.

Milton is also survived by his children: Dr. Ann (Dr. John Ciuca) Aring; Nancy Martin; Cheryl (Bob) Berry; and Charlie (Ellen) Aring; grandchildren: Ben, Daniel, Caroline, Grace, Kristin (Zach), Kevin (Matt), Alexis, Ethan, Megan, and Joel; great-grandchildren: Kira and Kinsley; and sister-in-law: Charlene Richardson. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Paul, Don, Lee, Ed, and Luther.

Milton started his education at Keyes School, a one room schoolhouse near his home and was a 1946 graduate of Pemberville High School. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from Dec. 20, 1950 to December 20, 1952, having served as a Corporal in the Quartermaster Corps, in Fort Lee, Virginia. He actively farmed until age 90 raising crops and livestock and had a love of Farmall and International tractors and keeping his barns painted gray. He also worked 25 years for American Shipbuilding Co. in Toledo, where he was a foreman. He was a 35 year member of Boilermakers Local 85, where he also worked job assignments in field construction. He was last employed at Riverside Marine Industries where he helped build the Arawana Princess excursion boat. Milton was a life member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Rochester, having served on church council. He was also a private pilot, owning an Aeronca Chief airplane and was in the Flying Farmers group.

Memorial contributions in Milton’s honor may be gifted to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Rochester.

Visitation for Milton will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Rochester 14545 New Rochester Rd, Pemberville, OH 43450. Interment will immediately follow at Pemberville Union Cemetery, Pemberville.
