Falcons finish 6th out of 16 teams in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C — The Bowling Green men’s golf team concluded its fall season at the University of North Carolina Greensboro’s Grandover Collegiate with a sixth-place finish out of 16 teams with a score of 869.

The event was held at the Grandover Resort, par-72, 6,800-yard course.

BGSU golfer Ethan Irvine finished tied for eighth at a 5-under-par 71-68-72-211, while Darin Hudak tied for 27th at a three-over 70-75-74-219.

Connor Gdovin tied for 43rd at a 6-over 75-71-76-222 and Tom Bell concluded the event tied for 68th at an 11-over 75-79-73-227.

Brandon Rattray rounds out the BGSU lineup tied for 74th at a 12-over 83-72-73-228. BGSU golfer Dylan Fitcher, as an individual, shot a 5-over 73-74-74-221, good for a 38th place tie.

In the team standings, North Carolina-Greensboro won with a 826, followed by Elon (848), Davidson (850), Harvard (867), East Carolina (868) and BGSU.

Following the Falcons were George Washington (870), High Point (871), Samford (880), Kennesaw State (885), Murray State (894), Winthrop (894), Ohio (894), George Mason (901), South Dakota (904) and North Carolina A&T (908).

The Falcons start spring play Feb. 13-14 at Houston’s Border Olympics event in Laredo, Texas.
