Perrysburg 3, Toledo St. Ursula 1

BASCOM, Ohio — Perrysburg, the No. 14 ranked team in the Division I volleyball coaches’ poll, defeated St. Ursula, 17-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-20, in a district final at Hopewell-Loudon High School Wednesday.

The Arrows see their season end at 18-5. Perrysburg, 19-6, advances to the regional tournament to take on Sylvania Northview (20-5) in a regional semifinal at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday, Nov. 5 at Norwalk High School.

Northview defeated Anthony Wayne (16-9), 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 25-22, Wednesday at Lake High School. The Wildcats and Yellow Jackets split regular season games and shared the Northern Lakes League title.

Next Thursday’s winner advances to the regional final, to be played at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Norwalk for the right to advance to the state final four.

Sherwood Fairview 3, Eastwood 0

TONTOGANY — Eastwood lost its Division III district final volleyball match to Fairview Wednesday, 25-18. 25-9. 25-12, at Otsego High School.

Eastwood finishes its season 19-6 and district runners-up. Fairview, 24-2 and ranked tenth in the state coaches’ poll, advances to the regional tournament next week.
