71 coronavirus cases reported in last week

There have been 36,625 coronavirus cases in Wood County, according to a Thursday Ohio Department of Health update.

There have been 71 cases in the last seven days, according to a Thursday Wood County Health Department.

There have been 54 cases per 100,000 in the last seven days. There has been one hospitalization in the last seven days. The test positivity rate is 11%. There is a low COVID rate in the community, according to the health department.

There have been 381 deaths in Wood County since March 2020, according to the Ohio Department of Health. There have been 1,156 hospitalizations since March 2020.

Statewide, there are 3,173,375 confirmed cases and 40,111 confirmed deaths.

Haskins Road restricted in BG

The through and right-turn lanes of southbound Haskins Road at East Poe Road will be restricted through Friday from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. for a valve replacement.

The street will be open during overnight and weekend hours. Dates of this closure are subject to change and dependent on weather and work progress.

Freedom Twp. meeting will discuss levies

PEMBERVILLE — Freedom Township’s upcoming regular meeting of the board of trustees will include an informational meeting to explain, discuss and answer questions regarding the levies that will be on the ballot in November as well as providing information regarding the office/maintenance building.

The meeting is set for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the township office, 531 E. Front St. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

BG parks board cancels meeting

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled due to lack of business.

The November meeting falls on the fifth Tuesday of the month due to Thanksgiving week. The meeting date will be Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Simpson Meeting Room.

BG Human Relations Commission meets

The Bowling Green Human Relations Commission Events Committee meeting will be held at Grounds for Thought, 174 S Main St., on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.

BG utilities meeting canceled

The Bowling Green Board of Public Utilities meeting for Monday has been canceled.

The next meeting is set for Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. in council chambers at the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.
