A Bowling Green woman was arrested for having a stolen vehicle, after the license plate of the car “hit” on a police license plate reader.

A Bowling Green Police Division officer was dispatched on Wednesday at 5:34 p.m. to the East Wooster Street and Interstate 75 area for a stolen vehicle hit on the reader, according to the report.

The alleged driver’s address was tracked to a Bowling Green apartment.

The owner of the vehicle was contacted and said that she gave Adonel Grubb permission to drive the car to school in April. Grubb was supposed to return the car in May when she graduated. The alleged victim said that Grubb refused to return the car and also took a credit card and phone.

Police went to Grubb’s residence. She reportedly said that the 2014 Ford Focus was gifted to her.

Grubb, 24, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and receiving stolen property. She was lodged in the jail.
