Chatting with Mayor Mackin scheduled for Oct. 15

PERRYSBURG — Citizens and business leaders are invited to join Mayor Tom Mackin for casual conversation at his next Chatting with the Mayor event this year.

The mayor will be talking with members of the community in order to discover ways to work together to improve the City of Perrysburg and enhance the quality of life for all who live and work here.

The chat is set for Oct. 15 at the Bard’s Coffee, 120 Louisiana Ave., at 9 a.m.

Veterans can apply for holiday food vouchers

Any Wood County veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran, who is in need of food for the holidays, should contact the Wood County Veterans Assistance Center at 419-354-9147 to schedule an appointment to apply for the holiday food program.

Requests for food vouchers must be received no later than Dec. 15.

Toy Show at Rossford’s Total Sports

ROSSFORD — The Toledo Toy Show returns to Total Sports, 10020 S. Compass Drive, on Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Over 150 tables will feature Nascar, Hotwheels, Star Wars, Matchbox cars, Tonka, Pez, dolls, trains, tractors, sports cards, slot cars, models, comics, tin toys, action figures, diecast trucks and cartoon characters.

Admission is $5 per person with kids under 12 admitted free. Early bird entry is available from 7:30-9 a.m. for $10.
