File. Isaac Naus and Kai Wulff ditched their paddles and used their hands while paddling in the inaugural Bowling Green City Pool Cardboard Canoe Regatta Monday evening at the city pool. Hosted by Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, prizes were given for first and second place as well as most spectacular sinking boat and pride of the regatta, most attractive boat.

Families can join the Wood County District Public Library to build their boats for the Cardboard Canoe Regatta.

Visit the library for a building workshop on Aug. 12 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to build boats. Then, test them at Bowling Green Parks & Recreation’s Regatta on Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
