WEDDING: Kendra Kay Getz and Justin Matthew Henck

Kendra Kay Getz became the bride of Justin Matthew Henck on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Zion Lutheran
Church in Waterville, Ohio. Jeff Cobb officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy and Kimberly Getz, Weston; the groom is the son of Scott and Tammy
Henck, Swanton.
Given in marriage by her father, Kendra wore a mermaid-style gown that was fully embellished with alencon
lace. It had a skirt made of multiple layers of chiffon swirled into concentric circles, and the bodice
was trimmed in feathers.
Stephanie Kaiser, Waterville, and Meghan Froman, McClure, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Kara
Dickey, Aurora, Colorado; Kacey Podolak, and Ashley Nye, both of  Bowling Green; Paige Vaupel, Findlay;
Molly Getz, Weston, sister-in-law of the bride; and Monika Kidd, Bowling Green, cousin of the bride.
They wore street-length dresses in different styles and shades of coral. The flower girl was Camille
Henck, Holland, niece of the groom.
Best man was Jonathan Mihoci, Wooster. Groomsmen were Jeff Henck, Jackson, Michigan; Chad Henck, Holland;
and Cody Henck, Grand Rapids, brothers of the groom; Michael Busch, Findlay; Kyle Simmons, Royal Oak,
Michigan; Dan Davis, Bryan; and Tyler Getz, Weston, brother of the bride. The ring bearer was Jaxon
Henck, Jackson, Michigan, nephew of the groom.
Tiffany Baum, Defiance, was the pianist for the ceremony, and the trio of Hannah Frate, Weston; Morgan
Cowdrey, Tontogany; and Dayna Fackler, Grand Rapids, provided vocals.
A reception was held at The Toledo Zoo in the Nairobi Pavillion, with the band Mas Fina providing music.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and are now making their home in
Weston.
The bride graduated from Otsego High School in 2009 and Bowling Green State University in 2013, with a
Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She is employed as a third grade teacher with Napoleon Area
Schools, and as Varsity Cheerleading coach at Otsego High School.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Otsego High School. He then graduated from Ohio Northern University in
2011, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He is employed by Menard’s in Findlay as a
salesman in Contractor Sales.
