Thanksgiving worship opportunities start Sunday

Both the Bowling Green and North Baltimore area churches will each join forces for community Thanksgiving
worship services. Other churches have also reported holiday special worship details.
The following Thanksgiving worship services have been announced
• The eighth annual Bowling Green Community Thanksgiving service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at First
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 875 Haskins Road.
Rev. Dana Ward of Trinity United Methodist Church will bring the message. The offering will go to the
B.G. Christian Food Pantry. Everyone is welcome. The service is sponsored by the Bowling Green
Ministerial Association.
•The annual North Baltimore Community Thanksgiving worship service for the village and surrounding
communities will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. The host church this year is Holy Family Roman Catholic
Church, 115 East Cherry Street. Local pastors will lead the worship. Those attending are invited to
bring peanut butter as part of the offering for Christmas Baskets serving the North Baltimore community.
The service is sponsored by the North Baltimore Area Cooperative Ministry.
• Peace Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, will hold its Thanksgiving evening service at 7 p.m. Worshippers
are invited to conclude the holiday with "thank-filled worship services.
• St. Mark’s Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Pastor Henry
Seibert’s sermon is "Reunion."
• St. John XXIII Catholic Community, Perrysburg, will hold a Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9 a.m. Thursday.

• Grace Lutheran Church, Weston, will hold a Thanksgiving Day worship at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Thomas
Smuda’s message will be "Always Give Thanks."
