BGSU/Robert Morris tickets on sale
Tickets for the outdoor hockey game between Bowling Green State University and Robert Morris are on sale.

The game, which will be held at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, on Jan. 3, is part of the Walleye
Winterfest, a 10-day outdoor hockey event.
Winterfest single game tickets will be $25 for club level seats, $15 for ice level seats, $10 for groups
of 20 or more, and $5 for students.
BG volleyball loses in straight sets
The Bowling Green State University volleyball team lost its eighth game of the season 25-22, 25-20, 25-21
to Oakland on Friday night.
The Falcons are 2-8.
BGSU men’s soccer wins
The Bowling Green State University men’s soccer team was a 3-1 winner over Eastern Illinois after two
late goals from Pat Flynn
The Falcons took the lead late in the first half before EIU evened it up to start the second. However,
the nation’s leading scorer, Flynn, pushed in two goals in the final 12 minutes.
It was BG’s sixth win of the season, matching its win total from the 2013 season.
BGSU women’s soccer loses
The Bowling Green State University women’s soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision at Butler Friday night.
After going into halftime with the score even at 0-0, the Bulldogs scored five unanswered goals in a
15-minute span.
BG is 1-6.
Owens basketball to play former greats
The Owens Community College men’s basketball team will scrimmage a group of former Toledo-Area greats on
Oct. 25. The Toledo team will feature former high school stars who went on to play collegiately and
professionally. Admission will be a $3 donation at the door and proceeds from the event will be treated
as fundraising dollars for the Owens men’s basketball program.
Owens soccer loses
The Owens Community College men’s soccer team lost 3-2 to Ancilla College on Friday night. After falling
behind early, Owens tied the game up on a Michael Dingwall goal, the first of his career.
Wood County athletes take first place
During the Wood County Special Olympics state golf tournament on September 16 and 17, Mike and Linda
Stanford of Wood County took first place. Maggie Hunt and Debbie Liebig finished in fifth and Dennis
Miller and Ryan Paquette took sixth. In a separate division, John and Larry Kuhbander took third place.

Woodmore searching for two basketball coaches
The Woodmore high school boys basketball program has two openings for an eighth grade and freshman coach.
Candidates should have previous interscholastic coaching experience and evidence of strong leadership,
