Good gets safe-driving scholarship
Cole Good of Pemberville has been awarded a Road to Success scholarship from Duane A. Peters Insurance in
Bowling Green along with Grinnell Mutual of Grinnell, Iowa.
The award is for $1,000.
Good was selected for his excellence in the classroom and safe driving record.
He is the son of Brian and Amy Good.
At Eastwood High School, he was in varsity track and band, and was vice president of Tri-M Music Honor
Society. He also was senior executive director of National Honor Society.
He has attained his Eagle Scout and received an honors diploma when he graduated in May.
He will be pursuing a degree in atmospheric science at Ohio State University.
Flores earns rec scholarship
Western Washington University student Haven Rose Flores, daughter of Macey and Stacey Flores of
Pemberville, received the $2,000 Willis Ball Memorial Scholarship for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The Willis Ball Memorial Scholarship is awarded to minority students majoring in physical education,
health and recreation/parks.
Flores graduated from Eastwood High School in 2016. She is majoring in recreation, minoring in
psychology, has a 3.1 GPA, and plans to graduate in 2020.
The university is located in Bellingham, Washington.
Eschedor receives scholarship
August Eschedor, a 2019 graduate of Bowling Green High School, has received the Robert L. Maxwell and
Lanthrop/Turner Scholarship worth $1,500.
Notice came in too late for inclusion in the Graduation Edition, which was published May 24.
Rine earns Penta scholarships
Eric Rine, a 2019 graduate of Bowling Green High School and Penta Career Center, earned two scholarships
at Penta’s Senior Recognition Program.
He received a Hirzel Excellence Award for $1,500 and a Rick Musser Memorial Scholarship for $1,000.

Griffith earns merit-based scholarship
Delaware Valley University has awarded a merit-based scholarship to Elizabeth Griffith, of Luckey.
The university awards admission merit scholarships to high-achieving high school students based on GPA
and test scores.
Delaware Valley University is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
