Elmwood’s softball team had 15 hits Wednesday on the way to 16-3 five-inning win over visiting
Perrysburg.
The Royals’ leading hitters were: Miranda Benschoter, 3-for-3, RBI, double; Olivia Myers, 2-for-4, RBI;
Rebecca Harvey, 2-for-2, four RBI; Madison Arnold, 2-for-3, two RBI; and Jasmine Marsh, 2-for-3, triple,
four RBI.

Rossford’s Longeway pitches no-hitter
In Rossford, the Bulldogs’ Mandi Longeway pitched a five-inning no-hitter in a 12-0 win over Swanton.
She struck out seven and walking none.
The Bulldogs’ leading hitters were: Kirsten Keller, 2-for-2, two RBI; Lyndsey Skala, 2-for-3; Margo
Jackson, 2-for-3, triple; Kelly Swope, 1-for-2, double, three RBI; Jessica Kulczak, 1-for-2, double;
Hannah Gauthier, 2-for-2, RBI; and Maddie York, 1-for-2, three RBI.

Emily Sidle singled four times and Hanna Addy had three singles to lead BG’s 17-hit attack.
Also for BG, Anna Szabo singled and tripled, and Reagan Morman and Haley Yarnell singled and doubled.
Eastwood 11, Huron 1,
5 innings
In Luckey, Cassidy Rolf and Krista Jennings both were 3-for-4 with two doubles as Eastwood improved to
2-0 with a win over Huron (1-1).
Also for the Eagles, Morgan Getz was 2-for-3 with a double, Mackenzie Albright was 2-for-4 with a double,
and Maddie Fix doubled.
Anthony Wayne 8, Otsego 4
In Tontogany, Anthony Wayne built a 6-1 lead after 4 1/2 innings to post its win.
Lexie Rieger singled and doubled for Otsego (3-3), while Kylie Amsus and Kimberlin Norman singled twice.

Mohawk 1, Lakota 0
In Sycamore, Mohawk scored in the sixth.
Four different players singled for Lakota, which received seven-hit pitching from Morgan Gangwer.
BASEBALL
BGHS 11, Fostoria 4
Bowling Green scored seven times in its last three at-bats to overcome a 4-3 deficit and improve to 6-0.

The Bobcats’ leading hitters were: Andy Fisher, 3-for-4, three runs, two RBI, two doubles; Clark
Mayberry, 3-for-3, run, double, two RBI; Jack Schaller, 2-for-4; and Jeremy Chambers, 1-for-3, triple,
two runs, RBI.
Aaron Donaldson and Justin Taylor pitched a six-hitter, allowing one earned run. They struck out eight
and walked three.
Perkins 7, Perrysburg 1
In Sandusky, Perrysburg (1-1) had just four singles.
Zach Honsberger had a single and an RBI for Perrysburg.
Elmwood 10, North Baltimore 8
In North Baltimore, Elmwood scored seven times in the fourth inning to erase a 7-1 deficit and the Royals
held on to improve to 4-0.
Elmwood’s leading hitters were: Jacob Wise, three singles, double; Nolan Kerr, single, two doubles; Dylan
Hall, two singles; and Jacob Firsdon and Nick Gillette, single, double each.
Levi Newcomer had three hits for NB, while Zack Stewart had two.
Lake 5, Maumee 1
In Millbury, Lake scored four times in the fifth to overcome a 1-0 deficit and improve to 5-1.
Lake’s Anthony Pratt tied the game with a solo homer and Cody Witt’s two-run single gave the Flyers the
lead.
Jayce Vancena was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Lake, while Pratt was 2-for-3.
Vancena and Connor Bowen pitched a five-hitter.
Rossford 12, Lakota 4
In Kansas, Rossford had 11 hits to move to 2-1.
The Bulldogs’ leading hitters were; Noah Asmus, 4-for-4, two doubles, two RBI, two runs; Ryan Reed,
2-for-3, double, triple, two runs, four RBI; and Spencer Schultz, 2-for-3, RBI, two runs.
Lakota’s Madison Jaso was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
