MONROEVILLE — Fostoria’s 3-point toss at the buzzer rattled off the rim as Eastwood held on for a 39-38
win in Friday’s Division III district quarterfinal at Monroeville High School.
The Eagles, now 17-6 overall, advance to play two-seeded Western Reserve in a district semifinal at 8
p.m. Tuesday at Norwalk High School.
Colonel Crawford 45, Elmwood 27
BASCOM — Elmwood matched Colonel Crawford in the fourth quarter, but a five-point first half was too much
to overcome in a 45-27 loss in Friday’s Division III district quarterfinal at Hopewell-Loudon High
School.
The Royals, who scored a 14-point win in the tournament opener, end their season at 11-13.
Josiah Childress scored eight points to lead Elmwood, while Bryce Reynolds chipped in six points with
team-highs in rebounds (8) and assists (2).
Colonel Crawford (21-3) advances to play top-seeded Willard in a district semifinal at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday
at Norwalk High School.
Evergreen 64, Otsego 42
HOLLAND — Otsego’s tournament run ended on Friday night in a 64-42 loss to top-seeded Evergreen in a
Division III district quarterfinal at Springfield High School.
The Knights end their season at 9-15, which included an 18-point win over higher-seeded Van Buren in
their tournament opener.
