Bowling Green Police have arrested a Portage man for the Sunday afternoon robbery at the Gas Express in
Bowling Green after he reportedly turned himself in.

Logan
Maas, 24, was booked into the Wood County jail on one count of robbery Monday night.

The robbery was
reported at 5:18 p.m. on Sunday at the business, 333 S. Main St.

An employee told
police that a white male with blonde hair wearing a hooded black jacket, Nike backpack, blue jeans and
green moccasins and with a bandana covering the lower half of his face made contact with her outside of
the store and had her re-enter the store to allow him access to the cash register.

He reportedly held out his hand, which was covered with cloth,
making the clerk believe that he had a weapon. He also told the clerk he had multiple accomplices in the
area working with him.

The male took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register
and fled from the store, going eastbound on Lehman Avenue.

The employee said the male’s hands and fingers appeared to be
covered with tattoos, and that letters appeared to be tattooed on the knuckles.

A warrant was issued for Maas after officers canvassed local
businesses in the area for information. Maas was observed loitering in the area of the Gas Express just
prior to the robbery and was described as wearing attire matching that of the robber.

Bowling Green Police Chief Brad Conner said Monday night that
the arrest was the result “of some good police work.”

Conner said that
officers observed Maas walking in the 100 block of Campbell Hill Road around 6 p.m. and Maas reportedly
approached the vehicle of his own volition and turned himself in.

Conner indicated
that Maas told the officers he was “out taking one last walk” before he planned to go to the Police
Division on West Wooster street to turn himself in.
