COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio State University Board of Trustees committee has proposed freezing tuition
for instate undergraduate students for the second straight year.
The Columbus Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1kFwRpi ) reports that the full board is expected to vote on the
proposal Friday.
If approved, Ohio undergraduate students would pay $10,037 a year for tuition and fees — the same amount
charged to those students this past school year.
However, tuition for out-of-state students would rise by 5 percent. That means undergraduate students
from outside Ohio would pay a total $26,537 in tuition and fees. Graduate students would be paying
$30,968 a year.
Housing would increase for all students. The room-and-board fee would rise by up to 4.3 percent, meaning
students would pay $9,800 to $11,500 for a housing plan.
