Wilhelm heads Milton trustees
CUSTAR – Stanley Wilhelm has been selected chairman of the Milton Township Trustees for 2014. He also
will serve on the township recycling board.
Charles Hoile will serve as vice chairman.
John Feehan is the township’s third trustee and will serve as the township fire district board
representative.
Stephen Crawford is the fiscal officer.
Daniel Wensink was rehired as township zoning inspector and Christopher Shilling was rehired for road
maintenance and cemetery sexton.
The trustees will meet the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the township fire district
building.
Henry Township meets Tuesday
NORTH BALTIMORE – The Henry Township Trustees will hold their organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at
the township office at 14690 Quarry Road.
Their first meeting of the year will immediately follow.
Friday event honors King
On Friday at 1:30 p.m., a tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held at the Wood County
District Public Library, 251 N. Main St.
The tribute is sponsored by the City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission and will feature keynote
speaker Dr. Judith Jackson May, BGSU professor and Bowling Green resident. Musical selections will be
performed by Shades of Brown.
Also at the event, the Human Relations Commission will present the annual Drum Major for Peace Award,
named in honor of Dr. King. This year, the award will be presented posthumously to community leaders
Joan Gordon and David Miller. Both Gordon and Miller were exemplars of community compassion and
acceptance. Through their work and deeds, Gordon and Miller contributed immeasurably to the Bowling
Green community and left a legacy of community caring.
The event is open to the public.
