Road to close for repaving
According to a notice from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Aufderstrasse Road in Webster Township will
be closed Monday all day into the evening for repaving work.
Library Friends plan reception
The Friends of the Wood County District Public Library (WCDPL) is hosting a reception for current members
and their invited guests in the library atrium on Oct. 5 from 2:30 to 3 p.m.
Refreshments will be available from 2 to 2:30 p.m. and after a brief program, from 3 to 3:30 p.m.
An RSVP for the reception is appreciated by Oct. 1
"Celebrate and Engage" is the theme for this first-ever reception for the Friends of the
Library. Remarks start at 2:30, when Friends board members present information about ways to be involved
in the organization and ways to support the library.
Michael Penrod, director of the WCDPL, will provide an update about the library.

Holiday food for veterans
Any Wood County veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran who is in need of food for Thanksgiving or
Christmas, should contact the Wood County Veterans Assistance Center at 419-354-9147 to schedule an
appointment for the Holiday Food Program
Requests for food vouchers must be received no later than Nov. 7.
