Halloween events start in several communities

Halloween celebrations get underway this weekend in several communities.
Among the planned events:
•    Registration for the Weston Halloween Parade will be held from 4 to 4:45 p.m. today at the Weston
Church of Christ. The parade starts at 5 p.m. on Elm Street. Following the parade, at the village hall,
a costume contest with cast prizes will be held. Trick or treat will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
•    The Wayne parade steps off today at 4:30 p.m. followed by trick or treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
•    Haskins’ Halloween begins today at 6 p.m. at the south parking lot of the new village hall. The
parade will then proceed to the village fire station. Trick or treat will continue to 8 p.m.
•  The Bloomdale parade will start today at 5 p.m., with trick or treat to follow at 6:30 p.m.
•    The Rossford parade will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Units will step off from Veterans Park. Also, the
parks and recreation department will stage a Haunted Trail in Island View Park on Sunday 4:30 to 6 p.m.
