Donate toys locally for the annual Hope for the Holidays Drive Thru Bash by WTVG-TV to benefit the
Salvation Army and Toys for Tots.
Since the Hope for the Holidays project began in 2011, more than 113,000 toys have been distributed
throughout Northwest Ohio. The campaign continues through Dec. 13 with toy distribution taking place
prior to Christmas.
The annual “drive thru bash” will be held on Dec. 6 from 5 a.m.-6:30 p.m. at three area locations. On
this day, volunteers will be accepting new toys at television studio, 4247 Dorr St. Locations will also
be operating at the Bowling Green Salvation Army office, 1045 N. Main St., and 301 Center St. in
Findlay.
Those wanting to donate in Bowling Green can drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Salvation Army office or
Key Bank, 300 S. Main St., through Dec. 13.
In addition to toy donations, the Salvation Army in Bowling Green is continuing to seek volunteers for
its Red Kettle campaign. The funds raised during this campaign make it possible for the Salvation Army
to assist Wood County residents year-round. Volunteers are needed through Dec. 24 and are scheduled for
a minimum of two hours. Groups, churches, and businesses are encouraged to adopt a kettle for the day.

To volunteer or for more information, contact the Salvation Army at 419-352-5918. Kettles are located at
in Bowling Green at Kroger, 1094 N Main St.; Walmart, 131 W. Gypsy Lane Road; Panera, 139 S Main St.;
Big Lots, 818 S Main St.; and Walgreens, 1013 N Main St.
