‘Fifth Friday Feast’ is free
Peace Lutheran Church, 1021 W. Wooster, Bowling Green, will host another "Fifth Friday Feast at
Peace."
This free community event is open to all and will be held next Friday 30 5 – 7 p.m.
The menu is picnic fare including hamburgers, veggie burgers, fruit salad and desserts.
Dinner music will be provided by the Peace Band.
C.S. Upthegrove returns
to preach at Faith Temple
C.S. Upthegrove, sometimes referred to as God’s General, has been coming annually to Faith Temple Family
Worship Center, 175, State St., Bowling Green, for more than 20 years.
Pastors Larry and Linda Damron say they and the congregation feel "privileged" to have
Upthegrove minister at the church.
Services will be held June 1 at both 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and June 2-6 nightly at 7.
The visiting minister has traveled around the world preaching the gospel. During his 70 years in
ministry, Upthegrove, an author of three books, has also served in the "Healing Voice
Ministry" and also served with other Generals in God including Oral Roberts.
VBS deadline
Vacation Bible Schools being held in June will be listed next Friday. Information should be submitted by
noon on Wednesday to the religion editor, Bill Ryan at [email protected]. Schools held in July
and August will be published later.
