Musical offered at BG church
A musical production, "Women at the Well" will be presented Sunday at the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1033 Conneaut Ave. at 7 p.m.
The Bowling Green Ward Relief Society, together with the Young Women will be presenting a story
celebrating the woman in the Bible.
This production is written and produced by Kenneth Cope and Vicky Pahnke.
The performance is free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be served following the performance. All are welcomed.
Car wash, bake sale for youth
PEMBERVILLE – The Pemberville United Methodist youth group Project 4:12 is planning a car wash and bake
sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held at the Pemberville Fire Station, 104 E. Front St.
The public is invited.
Proceeds will benefit the youth group.
Walker assigned to St. Rose
PERRYSBURG – Custar native Father Jeffery J. Walker is returning from his studies in Rome, Italy to serve
as Parochial Vicar of Saint Rose Parish, Perrysburg.
The announcement was made by Father Charles Ritter, diocesan administrator, for the Diocese of Toledo.
The appointment is effective July 1.
In the absence of a bishop for the diocese, the administrator cannot appoint pastors, thus the title of
parochial vicar.
Campfire worship at Bethlehem
PEMBERVILLE – As part of the Sunday Pentecost service at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, a 5 p.m.
worship service is planned to be outdoors (weather permitting) in the valley behind the church around a
campfire.
Those who attend are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Concerts planned
Two separate concerts are coming soon featuring Christian groups.
• Jericho Road and Crimson Stream Quartet will join forces for a June 15 concert at Victory Chapel
Fellowship, 280 Union St., Cygnet. The public is invited to the 6 p.m. show. For information call Jesse

• Declaration Trio will headline a 7 p.m. June 19 concert at Hoytville United Methodist Church, 19921 E.
Church St., Hoytville. The group focuses on southern gospel music. The public is also welcome at this

Soup and salad lunch offered
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in
the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit Hope Community Vacation
Bible School. The menu includes vegetable and wedding soups, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches, along with
a variety of salads and desserts.
