Ham loaf offered
GRAND RAPIDS – Calvary United Methodist Church, 24362 W. Third St., Grand Rapids, will host a "Ham
Loaf Dinner" on Sunday from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
A freewill offering will be taken with all proceeds for Emma Barnhart to help with her expenses. She has
been accepted to go with a Teen Mission Team to Haiti in June.
The menu will include ham loaf, potato, vegetable, salad, roll, dessert and beverage.
‘Priceless Pancakes’ to celebrate its first anniversary
PEMBERVILLE – "Priceless Pancakes," a free community pancake breakfast, will celebrate its
first anniversary on Saturday.
The public is invited to attend on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church,
106 Perry, Pemberville.
In honor of the anniversary, everything is absolutely free and without charge this month. The breakfast
is held on the last Saturday of each month.
Carryouts available and encouraged.
Love & Praise concert for Hoytville youth May 4
HOYTVILLE – HYCO (Hoytville Youth & Community Outreach) will be having a Love & Praise
concert on May 4 at 2 p.m. at the Hoytville United Methodist Church.
Area talent who will be performing include youth from McComb Local School, Liberty-Benton Elementary
School, Van Buren High School, and Arcadia High School. Also performing will be children who attend HYCO
and performers from area churches.
Edd Van Horn will be serving as the master of ceremonies.
A free-will offering will be collected for HYCO, which provides after-school homework help, computer use
for those who need it. The organization also holds weeknight activities for area youth and children.
Dietsch’s ice cream will be served at HYCO following the concert.
The concert is open to the public.
New members sought
NORTH BALTIMORE – St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore is beginning a "New Member
Class" on Sunday. Pastor Ralph Mineo rescheduled the class which was postponed due to winter
weather. The class will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. for those interested in exploring membership to the
church.
To inquire about the class or for more information contact Mineo at 419-457-3804.
At 5 p.m. current members will join the class for a "Congregational Potluck Dinner and
Conversation."
Dinner concert planned at ‘Truck Stop Ministries’
NORTH BALTIMORE – Truck Stop Ministries, Inc., is planning a "Dinner Concert" on May 11
featuring Heart Song. It will be held at the Iron Skillet Restaurant, located at the Petro Truck Stop,
12900 Deshler Road.
Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The concert follows at 6 p.m.
Baked steak supper
McCLURE – The McClure United Methodist Church will have a special baked steak supper next Friday from 5
to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Carry-outs are available.
A free-will offering will be taken. The church is located on Ohio 65, just south of U.S. Route 6.
This will be the final supper of the season and was scheduled due to missing previous suppers this winter
due to weather conditions. Regular attendees should note it is being held on the first Friday of the
month, a change from the normal schedule.
