C & C Fabrication, a Bowling Green business, has invested in a bigger and more sophisticated
laster for cutting various metals.
The plant located on North Dixie Highway purchased a new Trumpf laser, which is an upgrade from the
20-year-old machine which was previously used.A
ccording to Michael McHaffie, the new machine can handle larger pieces of material as well as thicker
pieces.
"We hope to expand our customer base," McHaffie said.
He said the machine will cut parts made from aluminum as well as both regular and stainless steel.
Their regular customers are a variety of manufacturing operations around Northwest Ohio including but not
limited to Bowling Green, Toledo, and Upper Sandusky.
They also have served special custom jobs on short runs from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and as far south as
Texas and Florida.
The company invested $360,000 in the machine. In order to reach a wider customer base, they have also
redesigned the company website at candcfabrication.net.
McHaffie says the machine is an improvement with the jobs they previously handled.
"It’s a lot faster so we can do the same work in less time," he said of the state of the art
laser which in addition to the faster speeds is capable of higher quality cuts.
The services are not limited to the laser cutter, as C&C also offers welding and other related
services.
