Ground breaking planned
Wood County Job and Family Services will hold a short ground-breaking ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at
its offices on East Gypsy Lane Road.
All three Wood County Commissioners are expected to attend the event for the expansion of the office.
The commissioners have awarded bids totaling $1,786,632 for a 10,846 square-foot expansion and renovation
project at the building.
The expansion and renovation will consist of conference rooms, offices, interview rooms, storage space,
and private rooms for family visitations.

Midwest’s Top Specialty Contractors list for 2014.
Rankings are based on 2013 revenue.  In 2013, GEM Inc. reported more than $135 million in regional
revenue.
GEM Inc. specializes in design, renovation, upgrade, consolidation, relocation and maintenance of
industrial processes and manufacturing lines.
The operation is one of the Rudolph/Libbe Companies, which is among the region’s largest contractors and
employs 1,000-1,500 construction trades through offices in Lima, Toledo, Cleveland and Walbridge, and
Plymouth, Michigan.
