Police responded to the 200 block of South College Drive for multiple vehicles that had been damaged.
Accidents occurred Oct. 29:
Charles Codding, BG, was eastbound in the 100 block of West Poe Road, in front of Shivam Patel, BG.
Codding stayed in the straight lane but slowed to turn right. Patel merged into the right turn only lane
and began to pass Codding when Codding began to change lanes and struck Patel. Codding was cited for
failure to maintain marked lanes.

Signal lights: Taher Alhulaymi, 25
BGPD civil enforcement received complaints by email of trash in a backyard in the 200 block of Palmer
Avenue and of litter on a porch in the 200 block of Georgia Avenue.
Police responded to the high school on a report of a student vaping.
Accidents occurred Oct. 30:
Justene Tarris, Bettsville, was northbound on South Main Street, waiting to turn left onto Sand Ridge
Road, when she was struck from behind by Jaylen Dixon, Detroit, who was cited for failure to maintain
assured clear distance ahead.
Dustin Tajblik, Portage, was northbound on Campbell Hill Road, in the left turn lane and stopped at the
intersection of East Wooster Street. Chaz Shaefer, Louisville, Kentucky, was eastbound on East Wooster,
turned right onto Campbell Hill, made a wide turn and crossed the center line. Shaefer struck Tajblik
and was cited for failure to maintain marked lanes.
Andrew Schausz, BG, was northbound on High Street and Brittany Steighner, Evans City, Pennsylvania, was
eastbound on Seventh Street. Steighner was cited for failure to yield right of way when she pulled into
the intersection and was struck by Schausz.

Police took a report of car windows smashed and items taken in the 300 block of Napoleon Road; of a
sexual assault that occurred in the 800 block of Sixth Street; of a car theft in the 600 block of Eighth
Street; and for a baggie with suspected drugs found in the 900 block of South Main Street.
Accidents occurred Oct. 31:
Lauri Hardison, BG, was eastbound on West Poe Road, in the west turn lane and entered the intersection on
a green light. Siuorng Chen, BG, was walking eastbound on in the crosswalk. Hardison struck Chen and was
cited for failure to yield right of way for a pedestrian in the walkway. Chen was taken to Wood County
Hospital by BG EMS for suspected serious injury.
Craig Nimigean, Toledo, and Adam Koons, BG, were both northbound in the 1100 block of North Main Street.
Nimigean began to change lanes the same time Koons starting braking for traffic. Nimigean struck Koons
and was cited for failure to maintain marked lanes.
Austin Mulligan, BG, was westbound on West Poe Road and preparing to stop at North Wintergarden Road. He
stated that a front brake locked up, causing him to drive off the road into a yard and strike a fire
hydrant. He was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
Emily Samlow, BG, was eastbound on East Gypsy Lane Road near Klotz Road, stopped in traffic. Ashley
Stasik, BG, was following, applied his brakes, slid of wet pavement and struck Samlow. Stasik was cited
for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Joshua Newberg, BG, was northbound on South Main Street at Georgia Avenue and was slowing for traffic. He
was struck from behind by Isabel Wolfe, BG, who was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance
ahead.
Larry Stull, Perrysburg, was parked in the 200 block of South Prospect Street and pulled out and struck
Alonso Figueroa, BG, who was northbound on South Prospect. Stull was cited for improper starting and
backing.
Katelyn Siebeneck, Ottawa, Michigan, was traveling westbound in the 800 block of East Wooster Street and
stopped for a pedestrian. She was struck from behind by unknown vehicle, which left the scene.
Brandon Kruse, BG, was parked on South Church Street when his vehicle was struck by Khani Begum, BG, who
was southbound on South Church. Begum was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
Colton Gast, Castalia, was eastbound on East Wooster Street approaching University Lane and stopped for a
pedestrian. Robert Gleeson, BG, was following and failed to stop in time, striking Gast. Gleeson was
cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
