Asmus, Limes crowned at Otsego homecoming

TONTOGANY – Kylie Asmus and Buddy Limes were crowned Friday at Otsego High School’s homecoming.
Seniors who also competed were Phoebe Cheney, Daniel Moser, Mallory Beach and P.J. Brandel.
Asmus has spent three years in varsity volleyball, four years in varsity softball, two years in National
Honor Society, plus Knight Link Crew, women’s choir and prom committee.
She also is a member of travel softball, Haskins Clover Crew 4-H club, and St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is the daughter of Kirk and Shara Asmus, Haskins.
Limes has spent four years wrestling, two years in National Honor Society, and also is a member of Link
Crew and is co-leader of tailgating.
He’s a member of Beaver Creek Boosters 4-H club, Foxfire Wrestling Club, Wood County Junior Fair Board,
and was a delegate to Buckeye Boys State over the summer.
He hopes to continue his wrestling at Ohio Northern University.
He is the son of J.R. and Kim Limes, Waterville.
Cheney is the daughter of Chris and Mary Cheney.
She participates in varsity cross country, varsity track, National Honor Society, yearbook, Link Crew and
chorale.
She also is a dancer at Julie’s Dance Studio.
Moser has played four years in soccer, three years in basketball, and is in chorale and FFA.
He also participates in 4-H and Young Life.
His parents are Andy and Susan Moser, Haskins.
Beach participates in volleyball, basketball, track, chorale, swing choir, Knightmusik, book and media
club, musicals, prom committee, girls’ octet and indoor track.
She also plays club volleyball, and is a member of 4-H and St. John’s Church.
She is the daughter of John and Jill Beach, Haskins.
Brandel has participated in soccer, baseball, football and track.
He is the son of Joe and Beth Brandel, Grand Rapids.
Penta attendants were seniors Logan Heft and Dane Johnson.
The court also included juniors Alexis Hiltz and Brennan Schall; sophomores Mason Niceley and Ryan
Lashaway; and freshmen Calysta Bevier and Will Varner.
Heft has cheered for varsity football for three years and competition squad for 3 years. She attend
Penta’s dental tech program and will continue this degree at Owens Community College. She is president
of her dental lab, and is a member of HOSA. Outside school, she is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church.
She is the daughter of Brad and Lisa Heft, Haskins.
Johnson is a two-year student in Penta’s electrical program. He is a member of SkillsUSA and is a lab
assistant for the sophomore class.
He works for Schwin Electric, volunteers at the Applebutter Festival, and also helps with youth baseball.

He is the son of Cory and Amy Johnson, Weston.
Hiltz is the daughter of Ray and Dawn Self.
Schall is in football, track and choir, and is a flag football coach.
He is the son of Danielle Heinze and Paxton Dewyer.
Niceley plays football and is in competition cheerleading.
She is the daughter of Troy and Dawn Niceley, Tontogany.
Lashaway is an active FFA member and also competes in indoor and outdoor track.
He is the son of Kevin and Jan Lashaway, Weston.
Bevier participates in volleyball, cheerleading and track.
She is the daughter of Adam and Melissa Bevier, Grand Rapids.
Varner plays football, basketball and baseball.
He is the son of Randy and Amy Varner, Haskins.
