BGSU women’s soccer loses
Bowling Green State University’s women’s soccer team fell 3-0 to Eastern Michigan on Thursday.
The Falcons appeared to have tied the game at 1-1 in the first half, but the goal was disallowed to due
to offsides.
Bowling Green is 4-13-1 overall and 3-7-1 in the Mid-American Conference.
Falcons’ soccer players honored
Sidney Huth, a senior forward on the Bowling Green State University women’s soccer team, was named to the
2014 Capital One Academic All-District Women’s Soccer District 5 second-team.
Pat Flynn and Joe Sullivan, both sophomores, were given the same honor on the men’s side.
BGSU hosting food drive
Bowling Green State University’s Student-Athlete Adivisory Committee is kicking off the annual Falcons
Fight Hunger Canned Goods Food Drive on Saturday.
The drive will be part of a triple-header of Falcons events, and fans are encouraged to bring canned
items to those events.
Anybody who donates will receive a coupon for $4 off a ticket as well as a 12 ounce drink or popcorn.
SAAC will collect items at the men’s soccer game at 3 p.m., the volleyball game at 5 p.m., and the hockey
game at 7p.m.
The drive will continue Nov. 4, Nov. 12 and Nov. 14.
