Senior living myths debunked
PEMBERVILLE – Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Community, Pemberville, will host a complimentary lunch and
informational presentation called "The Top Five Myths of Senior Living – Debunked!"  This
event, part of the "Lunch and Learn" series will be held at the Pemberville campus at noon
Sept. 18.
Those attending will learn about the large variety of options available for retirees. Organizers want
seniors to be informed. Among the topics discussed will include the difference between independent
living and senior housing.  Also addressed will be what one can expect to pay and what kinds of
amenities are available.
Organizers say, "There are a lot of misconceptions about senior living and we are ready to bust some
myths."

Wellness fair set
MAUMEE – The Maumee Senior Center’s Health & Wellness Fair will be held Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. – 1
p.m. It will take place at the center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave., Maumee.
The program will feature free health screenings including blood sugar, blood pressure, bone density,
balance testing, fitness assessments, travel previews, nutritional information and more.
There will also be a free catered lunch.
Participants will have a chance to win grand prize of a two-night stay in downtown Chicago.
