Stormin’ Norman … our family, our friend, our hero … you will never be forgotten.
It is with great sadness the family of Norman L. Lemmon, 68, of Rudolph, OH, announces his passing on
Sunday November 16, 2014.
Norman was born November 16, 1946 in Hanover, PA to Luther and Mary (Mummert) Lemmon. He married Vicki
Moomey on October 8, 1970 in Honolulu, HI and she survives in Rudolph, OH.
Also surviving are: his mother Mary in Hanover, PA; siblings Janet Long in Gettysburg, PA, Kenny Lemmon
in Littlestown, PA, Vonnie Long in Union Bridge, MD, and Donnie Lemmon in Apex, NC; his children Tim
Lemmon in Bowling Green, OH, Karen Lemmon in Grand Rapids, OH, and Chad Lemmon in Rudolph, OH; his
grandchildren Kaylie, Renee, Kiana, and Koebe; and his great-grandchild Kenadi.
He was preceded in death by his father Luther.
Norman proudly served his country in the United States Army serving three tours in the Vietnam War,
retiring after 24 years of service as a 1st Sergeant.
He was a member of the VFW #1148, Eagles #2180 and the AMVETS #711 all of Bowling Green.
Norman enjoyed racing stock cars, going to races, bowling, traveling, spending time with his family and
actively aiding and championing for Veteran’s rights and benefits.
Visitation for Norman will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m. in
the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio
43402.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held in the Rudolph Cemetery on Friday, November 21,
2014 at 11 a.m.
Per Norman and his family’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, they wish all memorial contributions be gifted in
Norman’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
