Mary Therese Fagan, 85, was surrounded by her family when she passed away suddenly on August 5, 2014.
"Cookie," as she was affectionately known, was born to Bridget and Michael McGowan on April 12,
1929 in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to James J. Fagan for 44 years before his death in 2004.
She and Jim were dedicated to their three children.
She was devoted to her Catholic faith and enjoyed bible study, bridge club, reading, and an occasional
box of Fannie May chocolates. More than anything, though, Cookie loved her 13 grandchildren, and she was
an absolute favorite of theirs.
Cookie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Michael (Eleanor) McGowan, and her
sister Josephine McGowan.
Surviving are her children Kate (Matt) Anderson, Sheila Schoen, and Steve (Kim) Fagan; her brother Daniel
McGowan; and her grandchildren Abby, Maggie, Ellen, Jeff, Ted, and Sarah Anderson; Tom, Dan, Bridget,
and Pete Schoen; and Emily, Molly, and Andrew Fagan.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical
District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster Street, in with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise Street
in Bowling Green, on Monday, August 11 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in
Toledo.
Memorial contributions may be given in her honor to Clare Chapel at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
