Two injured in I-75 crash
PERRYSBURG – Two people were hurt Wednesday in a crash on Interstate 75 north of Ohio 199.
Police report that at 5:35 a.m. Aaron Birr, Toledo, was northbound on I-75 when he reportedly reached
down to put his cell phone away and looked up to see a vehicle driven by Luan Avdolli, Brownstown,
Michigan, in front of him.
Birr’s vehicle struck Avdollis, causing disabling damage to both.
Avdolli sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, by Perrysburg
EMS.
Birr was treated at the scene by Perrysburg EMS for possible injuries.
Birr was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
Commissioners cancel meeting
Wood County commissioners will not meet for session on Tuesday, as county officials will be in Columbus
for a conference.
City-university meeting set
The City/University Relations Commission will meet at 4 p.m. on Monday in room 315 of the Bowen-Thompson
Student Union on the Bowling Green State University campus.
Program for those seeking employment
PERRYSBURG – The Employment Ministry of Saint John XXII Parish is planning a condensed and
information-packed half day session for job seekers.
Its purpose is two-fold: to get a job search off to an effective start, and to recharge efforts for
improved effectiveness.
The session will be held Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Master Chemical Corporation.
There is at no cost, and all are welcome.
