Rossford seeks vodka thief
ROSSFORD – Police are seeking a man who stole expensive vodka from a store in the Crossroads Parkway area
of the city.
The male, wearing a Detroit Tigers hooded sweatshirt, stole what has been described as
"high-end" vodka from Corks Wine and Liquor at 27250 Crossroads Parkway in a recent incident.

He was seen leaving the parking lot in what was described as a tan-in-color Buick Rendezvous.
The Rossford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Call

Pollinators is free seminar topic Saturday
The Bowling Green Tree Commission is offering a seminar on native pollinators which will offer advice on
how to design and install a pollinator garden on Saturday.
It will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Simpson Garden Park, 1291 Conneaut Avenue
The speakers will be Dr. Daniel Pavuk, Entomologist, BGSU Dept. of Biology and Jan Hunter, Naturally
Native Nursery.
The event is free and open to the public.

NB adds to police force
NORTH BALTIMORE – North Baltimore has four new part-time police officers.
The new hires, who will be paid $10.46 per hour, were sworn-in during Tuesday’s council meeting. The
officers are:
•    Tyler Nagy, of Gibson-burg, who has worked for the Bloomdale Police Department.
•    Steven Deuschtman, who is in his final year as a Criminal Justice major at Bowling Green State
University.
•    Brian Lomeli, of Leipsic, who has worked with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the McComb
Police Depart-ment.
•    Joshua Malone, a 20-
year veteran of the Navy.
Also at the meeting, council hired Mike Diebert and Troy Bateson as joint, lead paramedics. They will be
paid $14.50 per hour.
Local OVI checkpoint tonight
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will have an OVI checkpoint in Wood County tonight.
The location of the checkpoint was announced this morning after deadline.
