Tomic is Rotary guest
Donijela Tomic, Bowling Green State University’s women’s head volleyball coach, will be the guest speaker
at Thursday’s Rotary Club of Bowling Green meeting.
The meeting will start at 11:40 a.m. at the Bowling Green Country Club.
N.B. OKs renewal levy
NORTH BALTIMORE – Council, on Tuesday, moved forward with placing a five-year, 2-mill renewal levy on the
November ballot.
The renewal levy, expected to generate $81,610 annually, will be used for road construction,
reconstruction, resurfacing and improvements.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, council hired three new paramedics for its EMS department.
Demonstration planned on vehicle rescue
Washington Township Fire Department will put on a demonstration Friday at 6 p.m. on getting a trapped
person out of a vehicle.
The demonstration will be at the fire hall on Main Street in Tontogany.
The fire department will also have its new truck on display Friday, the first evening of the annual
Tontogany Festival.
Health board committees set meetings
The Personnel Com-mittee of the Wood County Board of Health will meet at 8 a.m. Monday.
The board’s Finance Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Both meetings are in the health district board room.
TV taken from home
PERRYSBURG – A television was reported taken from a residence just outside the city on West River Road
over the weekend.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the incident on Monday, but it reportedly occurred
between Saturday afternoon and Sunday night.
The home, located in the 24000 block of West River Road, was reportedly entered and the television
stolen. There did not appear to be signs of forced entry.
