Early morning crash injures 2
RUDOLPH – Two people were reported injured this morning in a crash at Liberty Hi Road and Ohio 281,
southwest of the village.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was informed of the two-vehicle crash just before
7 a.m.
Troopers were reportedly still on-scene as of 7:15 a.m. and additional details were not available.
Weston man hurt when car hits tree, barn
A Weston man was injured when his vehicle struck a tree and a barn on Sand Ridge Road Monday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 2 p.m. Jesus Castorena was westbound in the 17000 block
of Sand Ridge when his vehicle went off the right side of the road.
Castorena overcorrected and then reportedly lost control of the vehicle, striking a tree and then
striking a barn, causing damage to the structure.
He sustained non-incapacitating injuries and drove himself to Wood County Hospital.
He was cited for failure to control.
Traffic blitz through June 1
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a traffic blitz now through June 1 as part of the
"Click It or Ticket" campaign.
Deputies will pay particular attention for violations, such as driving under the influence, failure to
yield, and speeding, all of which are leading factors in fatal crashes.
There will be zero tolerance for driving under the influence and seat belt violations.
The blitz is funded by the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
Legion places flags in BG
American Legion Post 45 will be putting up flags in downtown Bowling Green on Friday at 6:30 a.m.
Legionnaires are meeting at the library.
They will be taking the flags down on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
