Kenneth "Kenny" Copus, 58, of Portage, passed away Sunday May 4, 2014.
Kenny was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to James and Sally (Foster) Copus.
He is survived by his mother Sally of Portage; sisters: Kathy (James) Kern of Portage, Virginia (Eric)
Hefflinger of Marblehead, Ohio, and Barbara McBride of Cygnet, Ohio; and a host of loving nieces and
nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father James and his brothers Walter and James.
Kenny was a care taker for horses and also enjoyed horse racing.
He was a member of the Lions Club in Portage and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a graduate of Elmwood
High School and Penta Vocational School, where he took classes in carpentry.
Kenny was a simple man and jokester. He loved spending time with his family and especially his nieces and
nephew, where he would attend ball games and other events. Kenny was an individual who would help any
one in their time of need.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Wayne Church of
Christ, 101 W. South Rd., Wayne, Ohio 43466.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kenny’s honor to the church or to the American Cancer Society, 740
Commerce Dr., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
