FINDLAY – Two Jerry City residents were hurt in a crash east of the city Wednesday night.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of the crash, on County Road 236 at the
intersection of County Road 212, at 8:22 p.m.
At that time Victoria Lanham, Jerry City, was northbound on Route 236 when an eastbound vehicle driven by
Charles Kearns, Forest, failed to stop for the posted stop sign on Route 212.
Lanham’s vehicle struck Kearns’ vehicle on the passenger side door. Her vehicle then struck a utility
pole, where it came to rest.
Kearns’ vehicle traveled off the northeast corner of the intersection, striking a guy wire, and lost the
load it was hauling.
Lanham, her passenger, Roy Lanham, Jerry City, and Kearns were all taken to Blanchard Valley Regional
Health Center, Findlay, by HANCO EMS, where they were treated for their injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
