For five years, Chip Hutchings has worked backstage at the Black Swamp Arts Festival as a volunteer. He
helps cook and provide hospitality for visiting musicians. One of his favorite moments backstage is
meeting musician Richie Havens and enjoying an afternoon with him in 2006. Hutchings, a 35-year resident
of Bowling Green, is a contractor for A.A. Boos & Sons in Toledo. Outside of work, he paints and
sculpts; in addition to gardening and fly fishing.
