LIMA – Earline E. Yerger, 87, passed away at 3:20 a.m. December 18, 2014, at Otterbein Portage Valley in
Pemberville.
Earline was born November 21, 1927 in Carnegie, GA, to Homer and Lucille (McKinnon) Lindsey who have
preceded her in death. On March 13, 1944 she married Wayne W. Yerger who preceded her in death on August
12, 1990.
She sold real estate in Lima, before retiring from Property Management in 1984.
She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal. She enjoyed working for the church.
Earline was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge, both in Lima. She thought her greatest
work was being a mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Catherine McDorman of Delaware; and two sons, Ronald Yerger of Lima and
Kevin (Kathy) Yerger of Luckey; five grandchildren, Beth McDorman, Karen McDorman, Douglas (Patricia)
McDorman, Michelle Spencer and Melisa Yerger; three great-grandchildren, David McDorman, Alex Spencer
and Riley Elizabeth Spencer; and her brother, Jerry Lindsey of Columbus, GA.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Frances Dorman and Hazel Odom; and her son-in-law, David
McDorman.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation
Services – Shawnee Chapel in Lima. Rev. Merlin Jacobs will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
