BGHS Class of 1974 plans reunion in September
The Bowling Green High School Class of 1974 will hold its 40th reunion the weekend of Sept. 5-6.
On Sept. 5, there will be a casual gathering with light snacks and a cash bar at SamB’s Garden Room and
Back Bar from 7 to 10 p.m. A $10 donation is suggested.
On Sept. 6, classmates may enjoy the Black Swamp Arts Festival or participate in a golf outing.
The reunion will be held that night from 6 to 10 p.m. at DiBenedetto’s upstairs. The cost is $20 per
person. There will be a cash bar.

Filiere family holds 59th reunion
The 59th Filiere reunion was held June 29 at BG City Park with 34 in attendance from Ohio and New York.

There were 77 present at the first reunion in July 1956, with "Frenchy" Filiere president and
Marian Dunn secretary.
Some of the original Filiere family emigrated from France in the 19th century, settling in Liberty and
Milton townships as well as in Lucas County.
Next year’s reunion will be held June 28 at City Park.
