Whitehouse Historical Society plans open house Thursday
Whitehouse Historical Society summer meeting, program and open house for the public will be held at the
Whitehouse Log House on Thursday.
A business meeting is at 6 p.m. and the Log House will be open for tours from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
At 7 p.m., perennial favorites Brad and Bruce Burkhart will entertain with a collection of patriotic
songs, historical snippets and humor. The Burkhart brothers have an uncanny ability to use their a vast
knowledge of music and the historical atmosphere the 1840’s log house provides to create what is always
a unique and very entertaining evening.
Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
Poker Run to benefit Autism Society of Northwest Ohio
WAYNE – The 8th annual Mossbarger Charity Poker Run will be held Aug. 9.
Participants should meet at  D’s Center Street Caf√©, 108 N. Center St. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and
the group will leave at 10:30 a.m.
Ride along Lake Erie.
After first stop, riders are on their own. Last bike in at 4:30 p.m.
Single rider $15; double rider $25; car $25.
The first 100 bikes to register receive an event t-shirt. Shirt can be purchased for $10. Door prizes,
50/50, silent auction, raffle also will be offered.
Live music starts after the ride with a cost of $5 at the door if not participating in the ride.
This poker run is a benefit for the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, which provides support, education,
advocacy, and services to those affected by autism in 12 northwest Ohio counties.
