A Bowling Green High School student was arrested Friday after fleeing school and may face further
domestic violence charges.
The 17-year-old male came to the school at 8:14 a.m. and was approached by the school’s D.A.R.E. officer,
who said she wished to speak with him. The student was wanted for a domestic violence incident involving
a relative that occurred Thursday night. He was also believed to potentially have a knife in his
possession.
The boy fled from the school out of the southeast side of the building towards Fairview Avenue. Three
other officers called to the scene had to wrestle him to the ground. A knife was not found on his person
after his arrest.
The student was charged with resisting arrest and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center; domestic
violence charges are pending.
