BG POLICE
Damage to a door, the result of a possible attempted break-in, was reported in the 300 block of East
Evers Avenue.
An assault was reported in the 200 block of North Main Street.
Feb. 27 citations:
Operating a vehicle while under the influence/refusal, marked lanes: Jason Miller, BG.
Expired Registration: Derrick Baird, BG; Meagan Poczekaj, Toledo.
No front plate, defective exhaust: Kristin Brown, Toledo.
Accidents occurred:
Feb. 27
• at 1216 N. Main St. Sierra Stockman, BG, was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control after a
collision with a parked vehicle.
• at East Wooster Street and South College Drive. Meghan Bishop, BG, was cited for right-of-way at a left
turn after a collision with Mario Diaz, Toledo.
• at West Poe Road and Haskins Road. Carole Sarkan, Grand Rapids, was cited for assured clear distance
ahead after a collision with Dallas Davidson, Tontogany.
Damage to a vehicle’s mirror was reported at BG Middle School.
In the 1000 block of South Main Street, cable was reported stolen from a building.
A 13-year-old male was arrested for assault and taken to the juvenile detention center after an incident
at the BG Middle School in which he reportedly stabbed another juvenile with a pencil during a fight.
The other juvenile received a welt on his arm.
Damage to a window was reported in the 400 block of North Enterprise Street.
Christopher Blanton, 29, BG, was arrested for domestic violence in the 300 block of Colony Lane and taken
to jail.
A theft incident was reported in the 200 block of State Avenue.
An apparent assault was reported in the 100 block of North Main Street.
