‘Innocents’ to be screened at Way’s Reel Talk Series
PERRYSBURG — The 1961 drama “The Innocents” will be screened at Way Library as part of its Reel Talk
Series Thursday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m.
Based on the novel, “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James and adapted by Truman Capote, the film stars
Deborah Kerr as an emotionally fragile governess who comes to suspect that there is something very wrong
with her precious new charges. Michael Redgrave is also in the cast.
Way Library’s monthly book discussion is reading the Henry James novel for January to coincide with the
film exhibition. Book club members will join the movie-going audience for the film, and a combined book
and film discussion will take place after the screening.
Sig Humanski, retired Toledo City School literature and English teacher, will lead the discussion and
take questions from the audience.

Turner to perform at museum
TOLEDO — Kyle Turner will play the Wendell Castle piano at the Toledo Museum of Arts Glass Salon Jan. 8
from 6 to 8 p.m.
He’ll be joined by several performing friends for the concert hosted by the Art Tatum Jazz Society.
Tickets are $25, $20 for members of the Art Tatum Jazz Society and $10 for students.
Toledo Rep to hold auditions
TOLEDO — Auditions for the Toledo Rep’s Edgy Rep Reading “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” will be held
at the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, 16 10th St. on Jan. 10, beginning at 1 p.m.
Directed by Jeffrey J. Albright, this comedy drama by Stephen A. Guirgis is set in Purgatory and on
Earth, and is comprised of at least 15 multi-cultural characters. Materials will be provided for cold
reads at auditions.
“The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” will run March 20 and 21 at the Valentine Theatre’s Studio A.  For more

Audition for ‘Guys and Dolls’
WATERVILLE — Waterville Playshop will hold auditions for the spring musical, “Guys & Dolls” Jan.
15 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 17, 2 to 5 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 22 N. 2nd St.  Show
dates will be April 24-26th at The Maumee Indoor Theatre.
