Citations Dec. 6:
Police responded to the 400 block of East Merry Avenue for a possible suicide attempt.
Charges were file against Benjamin Betts, 31, Toledo, for violating a protection order. He was arrested
at municipal court and was taken to jail.

Accidents occurred Dec. 6:
Patricia Anderson, North Port, Florida, was westbound on East Wooster Street and went to make a left turn
into the Starbucks parking lot. She entered the exit side of the drive and when trying to correct, drove
over and across the curb barrier of the entrance. She was cited for failure to maintain reasonable
control.

Police responded to the 600 block of Cedar Lane for an unresponsive female.
Police gave a criminal warning for criminal trespass to a man found sleeping under a picnic table in the
900 block of South Main.

Street.

Cody Briggs, 23, was cited for prohibited hunting after police were called to the 600 block of Haskins
Road on a report of a man shooting a deer in a backyard with a bow.

Accidents occurred Dec. 10:
An unknown vehicle northbound on North Main Street at Washington Street and struck the side mirror of
Katrina Plikerd’s Nissan Maxima, which was parked, and left the scene. The driver was later identified
as Patricia Kania, BG. No citation was given.
Drew Ritzler, BG, was northbound on South Main attempting to turn left onto Colony Lane. Janae King,
Bloomdale, was southbound approaching that intersection. William McDowell, Perrysburg, was on Colony
Lane, facing east at a red light. Ritzler said he saw King approaching but was unable to get out of the
way in time. King struck Ritzler, causing his Ford F-250 to spin and strike McDowell. King’s GMC Terrain
rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side. She was able to climb out the passenger window and was
treated at the scene by BG EMS. Ritzler was cited for failure to yield right of way.

BG civil enforcement took a complaint of an inoperable vehicle in the 1700 block of Timber Ridge Road.

Accidents occurred Dec. 11:
Alan Sarver, Cygnet, was southbound on South Church Street, stopped at the Pearl Street intersection then
proceeded southbound. Kristine Jenkins, Perrysburg, was eastbound on Pearl, failed to stop at the posted
stop sign and struck Sarver. Jenkins was cited for failure to yield right of way.
Vernon Greenwell, BG, as southbound on South Main Street. Thomas Striggow, BG, was stopped westbound at
the red light on Clough Street at South Main. Greenwell said he heard a noise coming from his vehicle
and was looking for somewhere to pull over when his front passenger tire broke loose from his Chevy
Impala, began rolling down the road and struck Striggow’s Ford.

Police responded to a theft of a vehicle in the 1000 block of North Main Street.
Police responded to an unresponsive male in the 100 block of Ada Avenue.
Accidents occurred Dec. 12:
Konnie Nicholson-George, BG, was eastbound in the 200 block of East Wooster Street when she struck the
back of Petilla Gest, pushing her Hyundai Elantra into the back of Kelly Leatherman’s Subaru Forrester.
Nicholson-George was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. She was taken to the
hospital by BG EMS for possible injury.

Michael Kolodzaike, 62, with an address at the jail, was arrested for auto theft and was taken to jail.

Failure to reinstate, lighted lights required: Heidi Craddock, 22
Police took a report of a malfunctioning at the car wash in the 1000 block of South Main Street that
damaged two vehicles.
Accidents occurred Dec. 13:
Sue Hess, BG, was stopped at the red light on West Gypsy Lane Road at South Main Street. Kaveona Below,
Wayne, was playing with the radio when she saw movement from the vehicle beside her. Below took her foot
off the brake and drove into the rear of Hess. Below was cited for failure to maintain assured clear
distance ahead.

Police responded to a business in the 700 block of South Main Street and gave a suspect a warning for
disorderly conduct.
Citations Dec. 15:
Police made a traffic stop and arrested the driver, Kiara Houston, 28, Toledo, on a warrant from Sylvania
Township Police Department and cited her for bumper required, driving under suspension (two counts) and
open container in a motor vehicle.
Police followed up with the hospital regarding a reported sexual assault.
Citations Dec. 16:
Police responded to the 200 block of West Evers Avenue for possible drug use; and to the 1400 block of
Burrwood Drive for a theft report.
James Rutkowski, 57 and listed as homeless, was arrested for theft after leaving a restaurant in the 1700
block of East Wooster Street without paying. He was taken to jail.
Accidents occurred Dec. 16:
Vishal Anumolu, BG, was northbound on South Main Street, entering the left turn lane for Gypsy Lane Road.
He was driving too fast for the snowy conditions, wasn’t able to stop in time, and struck April
Reidling, Cygnet. Anumolu was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. Reidling was
taken to the hospital by BG EMS with suspected minor injury.
Casey Schutt, Galion, was southbound on North Main Street at Ridge Street when her Chevy Cobalt was
struck by an automated Starship robot from BGSU, which was in the crosswalk.

Accidents occurred Dec. 17:
Connor Morris, BG, was stopped northbound in an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue.
Another vehicle was eastbound in the same area, slid in the snow, struck Morris, then drove away.
John Rasp, BG, driving a Freightliner, was eastbound on Conneaut Avenue, attempting to turn left onto
Haskins Road. Amanda Gordon, Delphos, was southbound on Haskins and started to back up to allow Rasp
more room to make the turn. Rasp said Gordon began to move forward prior to the completion of the turn
and struck his vehicle.
Michelle McIntyre, BG, was stopped eastbound on East Napoleon Road near Prospect Street when she was
struck from behind by Joy Shepherd, BG, who was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance
ahead.

Traci Paxson, 45, was cited for OVI and PAC (BAC 0.141).
Police responded to the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue for a possible burglary.
Police responded to the 300 block of Ridge Street for a report of a suicidal female. She voluntarily went
with police to the hospital.
Accidents occurred Dec. 18:
Brayden East, BG, and Clifford Love II, Weston, were southbound on South Main Street near Southwood
Street. East failed to clear the lanes prior to making a lane change. He entered the adjacent lane and
struck Love, causing Love to strike the curb. East was cited for marked lanes.
Dustin McArthur, Dallas, Texas, was eastbound on East Wooster Street at Campbell Hill Road. Mark Cairl,
BG, was westbound at that intersection. Both vehicles had a green light. Cairl turned left into the path
of McArthur and the two vehicles collided. Cairl was cited for for OVI/refusal (prior refusal in past 20
years) and failure to yield right of way.

Trae Anderson, 20, Fostoria, was arrested for criminal trespass and underage/under the influence after
entering a residence in the 300 block of South Main. He was taken to jail.

A residential student pulled the fire alarm of a facility in the 1000 block of Klotz Road.
Police responded to the 300 block of North Main Street for a male who was too intoxicated to walk and was
being carried by two men. The man requested EMS because he was unable to stand on his own. He was warned
for disorderly conduct/unable to care for self.
Accidents occurred Dec. 19:
Audrey Davidson, McClure, was northbound in a private drive, turn left onto the 100 block of East Gypsy
Lane Road. Sarah Caudill, Vermillion, was westbound on Gypsy Lane, merging into the left turn lane for
South Main Street. Davidson was cited for failure to yield right of way after pulling into the roadway
and being struck by Caudill.
Citations Dec. 20:
At 12:56 a.m. in the 800 block of Ferndale Court, Tyler Fournier, 19, and Luke Illig, 19, were cited for
nuisance party and underage/under the influence; and Kade Gravenhorst, 18; Brittany Kingseed, 19; and
Carson Hearing, 19, for underage/under the influence and criminal trespass.

Alicia Deanda, Clyde, was southbound on North Main Street, stopped for the light at East Wooster Street.
She said she realized she was in the wrong lane and backed up to change lanes. She struck Mollie
Tyrrell, BG, and was cited for improper starting/backing.
Citations Dec. 21:
Jazz Westley Sr., 34, Toledo, was arrested for unauthorized plates, driving under suspension, possession
of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail.

Police responded to the 200 block of South Prospect Street or an animal complaint.
BG civil enforcement got a complaint of a boat in the driveway in the 1100 block of Sandpiper Lane.
Accidents occurred Dec. 21:
Amber Steffen, New Philadelphia, was southbound on South Main Street while Fred Coleman, BG, was
eastbound on Gypsy Lane Road. Both entered the intersection at the same time. Steffen ran into the side
of Coleman. Both said they had the green light.

Matthew Halfmann, 29, and Alicia Halfmann, 29, both of Bowling Green, were arrested in the 600 block of
Manville Avenue for domestic violence. Both were taken to jail.

Colin Bell, BG, was westbound on West Gypsy Lane Road and began to turn right onto Anna Lane. Lacey
Harris-Willoby, BG, was southbound on Anna Lane, stopped for the stop sign. Bell was cited for failure
to maintain reasonable control after sliding on the snow and striking Harris-Willoby.
Citations Dec. 26:
Darrell W. Perry Jr., 59, Bowling Green, was arrested in the 700 block of Manville Avenue for domestic
violence and was taken to jail.

Charges are pending through the juvenile prosecutor for three persons for an incident in the 300 block of
Colony Lane.
Police responded to a suicidal person in the 200 block of South College Drive.

Police took a report of a vehicle that had been broken into in the 2000 block of Napoleon Road; to the
1000 block of Bluejay Drive for a dog bite; and to the 1000 block of North Main for a deceased female.

Charge were submitted to the juvenile prosecutor for two males for possession of marijuana and possession
of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Wooster.
Accidents occurred Dec. 27:
Kathy Daleska, BG, was following Danny Pool, BG, northbound on South College Drive at Clough Street. Pool
stopped and was struck by Daleska, who was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

No valid license: Timothy Curtin, 43
Items were reported missing from a bedroom in the 100 block of Manville Avenue.
Criminal damaging was reported in the 300 block of East Court Street.
Accidents occurred Dec. 28:
Mary Thomas, Perrysburg, was stopped behind Dale Mackey, Oak Harbor, eastbound in the 100 block of West
Newton Road. Mackey began to back up his International and struck Thomas, pushing her Hyundai Elantra
backwards. Thomas then backed away from Mackey and ended up in a field. Mackey was cited for improper
starting/backing.

Nicole Cordy, 45, BG, was arrested for disorderly conduct-intoxicated/unable to care for self in the 100
block of East Wooster Street. She was taken to jail.
Accidents occurred Dec. 29:
Melissa Pierce, BG, was eastbound on West Gypsy Lane Road when the vehicle was struck by a deer that ran
into the roadway.
An unknown vehicle struck a stop sign at the intersection of South Prospect Street and East Napoleon
Road.
Citations Dec. 30:
A package was reported missing from a porch in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue.
A juvenile who ran away in the 1000 block of Klotz Road was arrested and taken to the juvenile detention
center.
Accidents occurred Dec. 30:
Collin Dodds, BG, was northbound on Klotz Road while Kenneth McGee, BG, was westbound on Napoleon Road.
Dodds entered the intersection to turn left and was cited for failure to yield right of way at an
intersection after striking McGee.
Rachel Tipton, Weston, was westbound on East Gypsy Lane Road and said she had the green light at South
Main Street. A blue/gray Honda attempted to turn left from West Gypsy Lane to northbound South Main. The
Honda failed to yield and was struck by Tipton. The Honda then left the scene.
Amanda Martinez, Cygnet, was turning right from a private drive in the 700 block of South Main Street.
Phillip Echelbarger, Portage, was northbound on Main in the right lane. Martinez pulled out in front of
Echelbarger and was struck. Martinez was cited for failure to yield right of way.

Charges were filed against Andrew Hildebrand for theft/shoplifting.

Accidents occurred Dec. 31:
Cole Shaneyfelt, Liberty Center, was following Cameron Clark, BG, southbound on South Main Street
approaching Gypsy Lane Road. Clark slowed down for traffic and was struck by Shaneyfelt, who was cited
for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Paula Hoppe, Findlay, was westbound on East Wooster Street, entering the roundabout to go south onto the
I-75 ramp. Madeline Grup, Maumee, was eastbound on East Wooster, applied her brakes, but could not stop
in time for her yield sign. Grup was cited for failure to yield the right of way after striking Hoppe.

Mia Haschak, Perrysburg, was northbound on South Church Street, approaching the intersection of West
Washington Street. Gale Swanka, BG, was southbound on South Church at the intersection. Haschak failed
to yield to Swanka while attempting a left turn, causing a traffic crash. Haschak was cited for rules of
turns at intersections.
