Lexi North spun a no-hitter on Wednesday in leading Bowling Green past Southview 11-2 in Northern Lakes
League play.
North fanned 11 batters for nearly all of her 15 outs and she added a pair of hits at the plate to lead
the Bobcats (11-5, 3-3 NLL).
Katie Devine reached base in each of her three at-bats for BG, tallying a single, triple and a walk.

MILLBURY — Eastwood scored all of the game’s 11 runs in the first two innings and held off Lake the rest
of the way for an 11-0 win in Northern Buckeye Conference action.
Carleigh Coffield singled, doubled and drove in a pair of runs to pace the Eagles (16-1, 7-0 NBC). Alissa
Ray, who singled, and Sam Rost both doubled.
Ashley Hitchcock, again, spearheaded Eastwood in the circle with eight strikeouts while tossing a two-hit
shutout.
Lake fell to 9-7 overall and 3-4 in the league.

PERRYSBURG — Anna Koeppl kept Maumee off-balanced all evening and Perrysburg picked up an 11-0 Northern
Lakes League win on Wednesday.
Koeppl allowed just two hits and struck out eight batters in the five-inning complete-game win for the
Yellow Jackets (8-4, 4-1 NLL).
Perrysburg poured on nine runs in the second inning, while Morgan Pruss knocked in a game-high four runs.
Taji Pickett had three RBIs.

FOSTORIA — Otsego scored at least three runs in all five innings on Wednesday, trouncing Fostoria 21-5 in
Northern Buckeye Conference action.
Araha Burgy drove in a game-high five runs to lead the Knights (11-5, 4-3 NBC), while Eve Serrato tallied
four RBIs.
Brynne Limes, who struck out seven across five innings, nabbed four hits to lead Otsego.

ROSSFORD — Rossford pumped out 15 hits on Wednesday, but could not keep Woodmore off the bases in falling
11-7 in Northern Buckeye Conference action.
Hannah Pierce played a primary role in the Bulldogs’ (8-8, 0-5 NBC) offense racking up five hits in
driving in a game-high three runs.
Woodmore plated 11 runs on 19 hits, including four runs in the first and third innings.

MILLBURY — Scott Mackiewicz homered and Lake downed Eastwood 7-1 in Wednesday’s Northern Buckeye
Conference game.
Jacob Boelkens racked up 13 strikeouts in six innings to earn the win for the Flyers (16-0). Harry
Jackson added a pair of hits.
Noah Hahn and Jared McNulty both went 2 for 2 for Eastwood (7-8, 1-5), including a double for Hahn.

PERRYSBURG — Cameron Githens led Perrysburg at the plate and on the mound en route to a 6-4 Northern
Lakes League win over Maumee on Wednesday.
Githens doubled twice and knocked in a run for the Yellow Jackets (11-4, 4-1 NLL), while striking out
seven across five innings on the hill.
Luke Borer, Haydn Smith and Nathan Ball each added an RBI for Perrysburg.

Bowling Green rallied late with a two-run seventh inning, but it was not enough as the Bobcats dropped
their first game of the season with an 8-3 loss to Southview.
Christian Peek had five strikeouts in four innings for BG (12-1, 5-1 NLL).
Southview scored eight runs on eight hits.

FOSTORIA — Ben Gray rattled off a four-hit shutout and helped lead Otsego to a 6-0 win over Fostoria in
Northern Buckeye Conference play.
Gray, who doubled with an RBI at the plate, allowed four hits and struck out six batters for the Knights.
Evan Harves and Austin Meier both had two hits, with Meier doubling and scoring twice.
David Silva belted a solo home run for Otsego.

GENOA — Elmwood slightly out hit Genoa on Wednesday, but the Comets knocked in a pair of runs in the
second inning to claim a 2-0 Northern Buckeye Conference win.
Elmwood, which racked up six hits, fell to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the NBC.

ROSSFORD — Rossford had three hits but managed to push across four runs in stopping Woodmore 4-0 in
Northern Buckeye Conference play.
Andrew McManus, despite striking out just one batter, allowed just three hits in a seven-inning shutout
victory for the Bulldogs (6-8, 3-4 NBC).
Hunter Broshious had a a game-high two RBIs for Rossford.

Toledo Central Catholic 3, Bowling Green 2
TOLEDO — Bowling Green’s boys tennis team swept doubles action at the University of Toledo on Wednesday,
but ultimately fell 3-2 to Toledo Central Catholic in a nonleague match.
Mitchell Drumm and Luke Konecny combined for a 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 1 doubles, while Hayden McCracken and
Jack Devine racked up a 6-1, 6-3 win in No. 2 doubles.
Erik Schempf fell 6-0, 6-3 in No. 1 singles, while Dom Meszaros lost his No. 2 match 6-1, 6-1. James
Eddington dropped his No. 3 singles match with a 6-0, 6-2 score.
