BG Adult Egg Scramble is Friday
The Bowling Green Parks & Recreation’s 16th Annual Adult Egg Scramble returns to Simpson Garden
Park on Friday at 8:30 p.m.
Adults 18 and over are invited to grab a basket or bag, a flashlight and join us in the after-dark egg
hunt. Eggs will be filled with great prizes like cash, candy, raffle tickets, and sponsored prizes from
local businesses.
Preregister at www.bgohio.org/parks or visit the Community Center at 1245 W. Newton Road or Simpson
Building at 1291 Conneaut Ave., or register the night of the event, but space is limited so register
early to guarantee a spot.

The registration fee is$15 for BG city residents and $19 for non-residents.
Sugar Ridge services set
Sugar Ridge Community Church, 11634 Sugar Ridge Road, will have its Easter special service at 9 a.m.
Sunday with breakfast to follow at 9:30 a.m. and its Easter worship service at 10:30 a.m.
Annual Community Earth Day Celebration set
April is Earth Month and multiple agencies are collaborating throughout Wood County to provide events
geared toward conservation, education and family fun. The 10th annual Community Earth Day Celebration
will be the culminating event held on April 28 from 2-4 pm. This free family event is open to all and is
filled with fun hands-on learning stations.
Try your hand at archery hosted by the Wood County Park District, take a nature walk with the Bowling
Green Parks & Rec Department, power a light bulb with the City of Bowling Green’s power
generating bicycle, give the Solid Waste Management District’s giant Earth Ball a roll, and hold a
crayfish at ODNR’s Scenic Rivers station. Interactive games will be provided by the Northwestern Water
& Sewer District, Bowling Green State University, and others. The Wood County Master Gardeners
will host earth friendly activities and the Wood County Library’s CNG bookmobile will be onsite
providing earth friendly stories.
The Montessori School of BG, located at 515 Sand Ridge Road, will be the location for this Earth Day
celebration.

Bicycle Spokesperson of the Year sought
The Bowling Green Bicycle Safety Commission is sponsoring the 19th annual Bicycle Spokesperson of the
Year award.
Nomination forms for this annual award are now available at the City Administration Building, Community
Center, Simpson Building and the city’s website. Any Bowling Green citizen can be nominated who
exemplifies the spirit of bicycling through involvement in biking, bike safety or bike-related
activities.
Nominations must be submitted by May 1.
